ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Commercial Team as Sales Development Representative. You will be managing the customer sales process for a subset of the Covaris product lines with a focus on lead generation and accelerating growth accounts and/or sales opportunities via phone and e-mail. Interacting with existing customers and identifying new ones, will be a core responsibility. You will have significant interaction with colleagues in sales, marketing and applications, to address customer questions/concerns, creating, and submitting individualized quotes, and additional customer service and logistics.

- Leverage ZoomInfo, DemandBase and other Social Media platforms to generate new leads.
- Facilitate and accelerate the introduction of new products and services within the assigned product portfolio.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to expand service contract revenue within Team’s Sales Region; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Demonstrate acumen to describe and consult on technical product lines.
- Work in conjunction with your manager to develop and manage a business plan designed to meet/exceed sales targets.
- Develop reports of sales activity and data entry into Salesforce.com
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with lab managers, end users, and purchasing contacts within Team’s Sales Region
- Independently make decisions, but also utilize available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of internal resources
- Perform sales calls primarily by phone and email, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required.
- Support multiple sales representatives within assigned Team by providing information specific to our diagnostics portfolio, including technical information, product recommendations for customer applications, and other technical support
- Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan.
- Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory

Qualifications
- Excellent sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, listening, and closing
- Knowledge of Next Gen Sequencing is desirable.
- Minimum of B.S. Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
- Experience within Salesforce nice to have.
- Sales experience preferred. Previous inside sales experience in life science research, medical or diagnostic field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to communicate in a direct manner with both customers and internal teams.
- Travel: Minimal but may be required at times for meetings with manager, conference attendance, and/or sales meeting.
CA Pay Transparency: Base salary $65,000 – $70,000, plus commissions, benefits, and PTO.
