Tech Talk: truCOVER® Total RNA Library Prep: Enabling Transcriptome Analysis for Degraded Total RNA from FFPE Specimens
FFPE tissue samples present some of the most challenging conditions for RNA library prep — yet transcriptome analysis from these specimens is increasingly critical in oncology. The truCOVER Total RNA Library Prep is purpose-built for this challenge, delivering a fast four-hour workflow with less than 1% rRNA-specific fragments and greater than 95% strand-specificity. The result is exceptional gene fusion and alternative splicing detection, even at sample inputs as low as 10 ng total RNA.
Scientific Talk: truCOLLECT® Whole Blood Collection and truCOVER Library Prep Solution: From Decentralized Sample Collection to Pharmacogenetic Profiling
Access to high-quality genomic DNA is a persistent challenge in pediatric and neurodevelopmental research, where traditional blood draws are often impractical. The truCOLLECT fingerstick collection kit offers a simple, ambient-temperature alternative — no cold chain, no phlebotomy required. In a pilot study conducted at rural sites in Puerto Rico, truCOLLECT achieved 100% pharmacogenetic concordance with venous blood draws and a 98% overall collection success rate.
