    Summary:
    The Associate Field Service Specialist role is an ideal position for a technical support specialist, field service engineer, or biomedical engineer with demonstrated strong communication skills and customer focus. Role will be organized around two main duties.
    1. First point of contact for Field Service support questions and troubleshooting problems.
    2. Service Quoting
    It includes direct customer contact, primarily by telephone or email, to respond to customer queries and complaints. Technical writers must combine scientific knowledge with the writing skills to present complex technical and life sciences information clearly and accurately for a range of different audiences.
    This position is mainly office based and reports to the Director of Global Service.
    Essential & Responsibilities:
    The employee may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by business necessity.
    Technical Support
    Provide a high level of support to customers using Covaris products, instruments.
    • Respond to, record in Salesforce, and answer customer pre-sales, post-sales, and complaint related questions. Monitor technical support phone and Salesforce queue. Create service cases in Salesforce. Triage customer issues. Resolve customer issues remotely. Allocate resources to resolve issues onsite as required.
    • Coordinate with all Covaris departments as needed to execute Technical Support responsibilities. Examples:
      • R&D – Customer questions and product feedback.
      • Marketing – New product information.
      • Sales – New Lead information, key accounts monitoring
      • Quality – Report complaints, update processes to maintain high quality.
    • Stay current on new and existing products, applications, and techniques.
    • Service Quoting Creates billable service quotes as needed and communicates with customers while awaiting purchase order. Understands service entitlements and acts appropriately with business goals in mind.
    Non-Essential Responsibilities:

    Qualifications:
    • 4 Year degree life or physical sciences. Experience with molecular biology, Next Generation Sequencing, nucleic acid extraction, and/or proteomics.
    • Interest and ability to work with customers via phone and email.
    • Excellent and demonstrated communication (written and verbal) skills.
    • Understanding of various service entitlement types.
    • 2+ years’ experience in laboratory environment or working with lab instrumentation.
    • Experience in a customer facing role a plus.
    • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.
    • Previous experience with salesforce highly desired.
    • Ability to work individually or in a team environment.

    We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Commercial Team as Regional Sales Manager of East Coast. Key responsibilities include increasing the performance, execution and productivity of the assigned team members, although secondary goals include sharing experiences to aid the overall advancement of the adoption of AFA technology within the life sciences and clinical diagnostics markets.     Sales Management:

    • Experience with NGS Workflows is highly desirable.

    Summary:
    Covaris is seeking a Field Applications Scientist (FAS) to provide technical expertise and education for our workflow solutions in the APAC region and the FAS should be located in China.     • Partner with APAC Distributors specifically China distributor sales representatives to serve as the Covaris technology scientific/technical expert to help drive sales and provide support for new and existing customers.
    • Lead new projects, understand the latest software, and help position new consumables with technical expertise.
    • Organize and execute demonstrations of Covaris applications and products; manage these projects independently to ensure all demonstration equipment is fully functional and optimized.
    • Help to maintain a library of publications pertaining to the use of the Company’s technology.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Technical point of reference for Covaris proteomics pre-/post-sales customer communications activities and customer training, with an ability to leverage these interactions for marketing collateral.
    • Familiar with widely used proteomics technology platforms including advanced sample preparation strategies (e.g. labeling, crosslinking and pulldown), and quantitation and multiplexing methods (SILAC, TMT, etc.).
